Tripp urgently needs a foster home or adopter by Sunday April 2!
Tripp is a young (1-2 year old) border collie who loves his people and toys. Tripp does have minor genetic neurological trait that has left him a little less coordinated than his peers. Tripp's gait does not stop him from running, chasing his ball, or going for walks around the neighborhood. Unfortunately flights of stairs are harder for him. On the bright side, Tripp has an approved bill of health from his neurologist and is expected to live a normal and healthy life without any medication. He just is a bit quirky!
While initially shy, Tripp quickly warms up to people and will reward you with all of the love he can offer. Tripp has the brains of a border collie without all of the energy. If you are looking for a companion who would be satisfied with walks around the neighborhood and some play time in the yard, Tripp is the dog for you. The ideal home for Tripp would be one without other dogs, cats, small animals, or flights of stairs. Tripp has met a few dogs but is still learning about respectful boundaries. Although Tripp has met children outside of his home, he should not live with them. Tripp is crate trained, potty pad trained (although he prefers to go outside), and working on his house training. Tripp loves toys and if toys are provided, he is very good at self-entertaining while his foster family works. With love, patience, and attention, Tripp could quickly become someone's heart dog.
Tripp is living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
