Elsie is a 7 year old spayed female. She is 16" from her shoulders to the floor and weighs
37 pounds.
Elsie is an enthusiastic and energetic BC! She is utterly infatuated with a ball (or really anything that you might throw for her) and incredibly loving. We joke that her happy wiggle-dance is the "Elsie-ronie", since she nearly bends herself in half with joyful tail-wagging! Once she decides your home is "hers", she will loudly alert-bark at the appearance of strangers on the property- deer, stray cats, Amazon Deliveries, and the mailman. Her intense Border Collie stare has kept more than a few delivery persons in their vehicle, although she has never bitten anyone. She tends to be pretty shy around strangers...until they come to their senses and throw a ball, then they are automatically deemed "good people." She prefers to make friends on her own terms, but once she warms up, she is a velcro dog. She would do best in a home where she is definitely the only dog and probably with older children (>6 yrs). She is great with cats, chickens, goats, pigs, horses, and rabbits.
