Casper is a 2 year old neutered male. He is 22.5 inches from his shoulders to the floor and weighs 45 lbs.
Casper loves to run, play fetch, explore, and nap at your feet. He is fun-loving, energetic, and always ready to play!
Casper likes to protect the yard, and so he will bark if he hears people or critters. This has come in handy, as we live in an area with bears and raccoons. When we need him to be quiet, we use a bark collar on him which works very well. He likes other dogs, but can get too excited when around them. This has put other dogs on edge, so we always keep a close eye on these interactions.
In general, he loves greeting people and making friends. He can get too excited, but he responds well to the command “off” if he tries to jump on someone. He is uneasy around some strangers, specifically taller people or people wearing reflective vests. I make sure to manage interactions with him, and this helps him to feel comfortable and secure.
He is great with kids! As mentioned already, he loves to play and loves to make friends. However, we don’t recommend having him around babies or small children, as he can’t always gauge his intensity around them.
He likes toys, specifically frisbees and balls. He likes scratches on his back, and going to the beach. He LOVES to chase shadows! We don’t let him run in the house, so he will pace around instead and look for them. He can sit, lay down, handshake, and bring the ball. He is selective with “come,” and will listen to my wife more than me, so we keep him on a leash when we leave the home and yard. He is house trained and car trained. He likes it be in our yard during the day and sleep inside at night.
Casper is living in Potter Valley.
